2021 Christopher Martin’s Christmas Run
New Haven, CT: Christopher Martin’s Christmas Run for Children 5K celebrates its 37th anniversary at its 2021 event on Sunday, December 5th in New Haven. The annual race sold out at this year’s capacity of 1,000 participants! In the past three decades, the event has donated over 60,000 toys to children in need in the New Haven area during the holiday season. With the help of race participants, the event will donate hundreds of toys and thousands of dollars to the Friends of Rudolph Toy Drive! As an additional incentive to donate, participants are offered 20% off their purchase at Woodbridge Running Company when they donate a toy during early packet pick-up. Toys must be new and unwrapped, and can be dropped off at Woodbridge Running Co., or presented race morning. The event is presented by Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante, Attorneys and Counselors at Law.
With the key sponsorship of Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante, (LTKE Law) the event will donate thousands of dollars to collect hundreds of additional toys for the Friends of Rudolph Toy Drive. The 5K race runs along State Street and Orange Street before passing the historic New Haven Green. The race starts and finishes in front of Christopher Martin’s Restaurant. The 5K kicks off at 10:30am. Participants are encouraged to bring their holiday spirit and run in a festive costume! Following the 5K race, Christopher Martin’s Christmas Run for Children hosts one of the nation’s best post-race parties! Live entertainment, food, and refreshing beer for 21+ are provided by Christopher Martin’s Restaurant.
The event is organized by JB Sports and the team at Christopher Martin’s Restaurant. “New Haven has been great to our restaurant over the years. This event is a small way to show our appreciation and give back to the community during the holiday season,” stated Chris Vigilante, co-owner of Christopher Martin’s Restaurant in New Haven. JB Sports, one of top event management companies in Connecticut, also coordinates the Faxon Law New Haven Road Race and PLR Shamrock & Roll 5K. The event has taken a number of precautions to make it safer for participants and volunteers. This year’s race is limited to 1,000 runners (has had up to 2,500 runners). All food is grab and go and the post-race party will be outside.
