2024 Christopher Martin’s Christmas Run for Children
New Haven, CT – This year marked the 40th anniversary of the Christopher Martin’s Christmas Run for Children 5K race on Sunday, December 8, in New Haven. The annual event, sponsored by Lynch, Traub, Keefe, & Errante (LTKE Law), benefits children in need in New Haven. Since the event started in 1984, over 75,000 toys have been collected through the Friends of Rudolph Toy Drive. Over 1300 runners, including dogs, from all over the state came to participate on the beautiful early December day.
The key sponsorship of LTKE Law ensures the event will donate thousands of dollars to collect hundreds of additional toys for the Friends of Rudolph Toy Drive. LTKE Law Managing Attorney, Steven J. Errante said, “Lynch, Traub, Keefe & Errante is honored to sponsor this race for the seventh year in a row. It is a great charity. More toys have been donated this year than ever before. We hope our support makes Christmas brighter for children in need in the city of New Haven.”
The 5K race started near Christopher Martin’s Restaurant on State Street, continued onto Orange Street, and passed the historic New Haven Green. First, second, and third-place finishers were awarded gift certificates and gift cards. First-place finishers were also given LTKE Law tumblers.
The race is organized by JB Sports and the team at Christopher Martin’s Restaurant. JB Sports, one of the top event management companies in Connecticut, also coordinates the Faxon Law New Haven Road Race and 99.1 PLR ShamRock & Roll 5K.
