2025 ShamRock & Roll 5K

New Haven, CT: On Sunday, March 2, 2025, LTKE Law supported the 99.1 PLR CrossPoint Federal Credit Union ShamRock & Roll 5K, Connecticut’s largest St. Patrick’s Day-themed road race. The race benefits The Diaper Bank of Connecticut, which, as of 2022, has provided over 33 million diapers to families across Connecticut.

 
Despite the cold, over 1,500 participants showed up, many dressed in festive St. Patrick’s Day attire to compete for the best individual and group costumes.

Many runners came to the race with boxes of diapers to be donated to the Diaper Bank of Connecticut. As the event’s sponsor for diaper donations, LTKE Law matched the first 50,000 diapers donated by runners. Runners who fundraised $100 or more for The Diaper Bank received a free entry into this year’s race.

LTKE Law Managing Attorney, Steven J. Errante said, “We’re happy to sponsor such a good cause for the fifth consecutive year.”

Runners gathered inside Toad’s Place, an iconic New Haven music venue. Before the race, musicians from School of Rock entertained the runners and sponsors with rock and roll tunes.

Attorney Michael Leone handed out LTKE-branded lip balm & sunscreen combination sticks, which were much appreciated by the runners on the cold, dry day.

Representatives from WLPR, CrossPoint Federal Credit Union, and LTKE Law Managing Attorney, Steven J. Errante, each gave some encouraging words to the runners before the race commenced.

The 5K race started in front of Toad’s Place, ran by Yale University up Whitney Avenue and through the East Rock neighborhood, and finished back at Toad’s for a post-race party and awards ceremony.

Attorney Matthew Popilowski helped hand out LTKE Law tumblers to the first-place finishers in each age category.
