Ben Gettinger has a diverse law practice focused on helping his clients navigate through complex legal and life challenges. His clients include businesses, municipalities, police officers, first responders, politicians and everyday individuals.
Ben is deeply involved in the local community. He is the Probate Judge for Milford and Orange. In addition, Ben is a Commissioner on the Connecticut Law Revision Commission; Trustee to the Boys & Girls Club of Milford; Board Member on the Friends of Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital; and Board Member on the City of Milford, Council on Aging. He previously served as the Chairmen of Milford Planning & Zoning; Board Member on Milford Fine Arts Council; Member on Milford Zoning Board of Appeals; and Representative on the South Central Regional Water Authority.
Ben received his Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Connecticut and his Juris Doctor, Magna Cum Laude, from Quinnipiac University School of Law. While in law school, he served as the Managing Editor of the Quinnipiac Law Review. He then clerked for the Honorable Francis X. Hennessy of the Connecticut Appellate Court.
Ben is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation; Member of the American Bar Association; Member of the Connecticut Bar Association; Member of the New Haven County Bar Association; Member of the Milford Bar Association. He is also a Member of the National College of Probate Judges; Member of the Connecticut Probate Judges Association; and Member of the Connecticut Probate Court Assembly.
